The work “Table with Potatoes I“ playfully contrasts the ambivalent symbolic potentials of standardized interior design with neglected sprouting potatoes.
The furniture and interior accessories were borrowed from the current selection of a typical furniture store in the region (IKEA, in this case). The sprouting potatoes are leftovers from private households. It is essential for the work, that after the exhibition period, all materials are returned to their original circumstances. The installation thus represents only a strange fleeting moment in the existence of things.

Die Arbeit „Tisch mit Kartoffeln I“ spielt mit dem konträren und jeweils ambivalenten symbolischen Potentialen von standardisierten, inszenierten Wohnbeispielen und vergessenen austreibenden Kartoffeln.
Die Möbel und das Einrichtungszubehör sind aus dem aktuellen Sortiment eines typischen Möbelhaus der Region (in dieser Variante IKEA) entliehen. Die austreibenden Kartoffeln sind Überbleibsel von lokalen Haushalten. Es ist essenziell, dass jegliches Material der Installation nach der Ausstellungsdauer zurück in einen gewöhnlichen Kontext überführt wird, und der Zustand somit nur einen merkwürdigen Moment in der Daseinsdauer der Dinge darstellt.
