Each plaster relief is unique, cast from individual negative clay moulds with hand imprints. The handprint symbolises the elementary human need to leave traces of oneself, a potential starting-point in the evolution of art production.
The number of tiles, their combination and therefore also the title vary in each exhibition, as individual plaster tiles potentially break due to visitors entering the installation. This process is an inherent part of the work, bringing into question cultural practices and the use of artifacts.

Jedes Gipsrelief ist ein Unikat und durch eine Negativabformung von Handabdrücken in Ton produziert. Der Handabdruck symbolisiert das urmenschliche Bedürfnis, Spuren von sich zu hinterlassen, und gilt als ein möglicher Beginn der Kunstproduktion.
Die Kombination und die Anzahl der Gipsplatten und somit auch der Titel variieren in jeder Ausstellungssituation, da durch das Betreten der Arbeit durch die Besucher*innen einzelne Gipsplatten zu Bruch gehen können. Dieser Prozess ist Teil des Werks. Im Fokus dieser Arbeit stehen kulturelle Praktiken des Umgangs mit Artefakten.
